Places to Eat

About the owners

Our family has been spending our vacations in Panama City Beach since 2002.  We understand that life is hectic and people really need to make the most out of what limited vacation time they have.  Sometimes it takes a life changing event to open your eyes to what is most important in life: the time you spend with the people you love.  Nobody ever looks back on life and says 'Gee I wish, I had worked a little more.' Looking into the future, we hope to eventually spend our winters as snowbirds on the beautiful Emerald Gulf Coast.  Spending some time on the beach has a way of washing away all of the worries and stress.   Whether staying for a week or staying for a month, the memories you make will last forever.

Why the owners chose The Dunes of Panama, Panama City Beach

In the fall of 2014, we choose the Dunes of Panama for the pet friendly accommodations and 1500 feet of beach frontage.  The resort has all of the amenities we were looking for with a family oriented atmosphere.

This condo isn't just another rental, this is our future winter home, with our personal touches.  The resort has all of the amenities and plenty of space so you don't feel crowded.  The people are so friendly, it just makes you want to come back year after year.

Our favorite places to eat

Dave-Tripple J Steaks and Seafood, on Thomas Drive, prime rib was delicious.  Olivia liked the grouper.  Everybody loved the fresh bread and butter.

Olivia-Loves Uncle Ernies on the bay dining, in Old St. Andrews, Panama City- across the bridge.  They are closed on Mondays.  I like to go for the more affordable lunch special:  always something grouper.  Great calamari appetizer too.

Nick- likes the ocean front dining and atmosphere of Schooners,  on Thomas Drive.  It's about a mile walk, on the beach, from the condo. He is not much of a seafood person but likes the chicken tenders.  I love the Banana Baileys Colada Drink.

Melissa's- go to place is Saltwater Grill on Hutchinson Blvd.  She loves the salmon and I like the grouper.  Note: go early for the specials/ call ahead to get on the wait list, it's a local favorite and always a long wait-good sign of good food.

Brad-is our wing man.  He is all boy and his favorite place to eat is HOOTERS.  After a fun day of men only activities (golf or the golf range) they sit at the ocean front Hooters........ya know for the chicken. LOL

A fun restaurant to visit while on vacation is Sisters of the Sea & Dive Bar.  It's on the bay and on some weekends they have mermaids swimming in the pool.  Love the Fried Strawberries.
